AiR between the artist, local residents, and broader community this weekend.f.eks. AIR seeks to bring art and society closer together by integrating artists into the social and spatial fabrics of Aalborg and Northern Jutland in new ways. f.eks. invites innovative international artists for extended periods to engage with local communities, explore artistic ideas, and develop new projects through expanded forms of artistic practice. Using their location within the Spritten complex as a rich point of departure, the artists are encouraged to create new relationships utilizing the f.eks. network as a point of departure to explore the “city-as-studio”.Rodrigo Ghattas-Pérez (PE/PL) is an artist, organizer, activist, and restivist currently based in Innlandet, Norway. His current work engages the themes of immigration, housing politics, post-capitalism, collaborative networking, and alternative economies to name just a few. His work manifests itself mainly through self-organizational practice, but also through dialogical exchanges, pedagogical practice, artist publications, and other performative exchanges. He currently co-organizes the project/platform Verdensrommet, The Union (Norway), and is developing an international artistic exchange in relation to public housing in Peru.
f.eks. AiR is kindly supported by The Danish Arts Foundation, Himmerland Boligforening, Den Jyske Kunstfond, Aalborg Kommune Kulturpulje, and 15 Juni Fonden.
