Back in 2007, I joined art school in Lima, Peru – ten years have passed and still can’t believe how fast time passes. I was so young, only 17 years old, but full of energy, aspirations, and dreams. “This is what I’m going to do for the rest of my life,” I told myself.
I didn’t know at the moment what kind of format, media or form of art I was going to pursue. It only took me a year to realize that I needed to be in a deep physical contact with ‘the material’, whatever that meant at the time: carving marble and wood, melting metal, etc. or a mix of craft. It really didn’t matter, the possibilities were limitless…
